Trivia

• Laid down 18th November 1943, launched 16th February 1944 and completed 10th May 1944.
• Led a busy life of escorting convoys and frequently rescuing survivors.
• Though damaged several times by air attacks (including by the Soviets) she ended the war in Korea.
• She was handed over to the ROC/Taiwan and renamed Zheng An. She was re-armed with two 12cm guns and later US 5" guns. She left service in '56 and was scrapped in '63.
