- She has a sister complex toward her older sister, Fusou. As noted in her lines, she cares more for Fusou than you.
- A member of the Unlucky Sisters.
- Her name is after Yamashiro province (southern part of today's Kyoto prefecture) and it literally means "Mountain castle".
- Both Fusou and Yamashiro sport a hair ornament that resembles a Pagoda Mast, the Fusou-class were widely known for their large Pagoda Masts that stood 40 meters above the waterline.
