Tips

  • You need to sink the flagship at the boss node 5 times to clear the map.
    • The Boss of this map is Southern War Princess who has pretty tough armor and firepower that can potentially wreck any of your ships.
    • There is a little chance that 2 Light Carrier Nu-Class Flagship will show up at boss as well, AACI can be brought here to shoot down enemy bombers and protect your light ships.
    • CAV can carry Seaplane Fighters in order to obtain AS at the boss node (71+ air for the comp with Southern War Princess alone), or at least force AP for the comp with dual Light Carrier Nu-Class Flagship.
    • It's unlikely that you will finish the boss off at day so do expect the battle to last till night.
  • After the 17 November 2017 update, the use of Support Expeditions is highly recommended for both pre-boss and boss fights.
    • With normal support expedition help, you can minimize the risk of your ships getting heavily damaged and subsequently increase the chances of your fleet arriving to the boss node in good conditions.
    • The use of Support Shelling is highly recommended, as Aerial Support will not trigger on pre-boss nodes, while Long Range Torpedo Attacks may activate but will cause negligible amounts of damage.
  • Taking advantage of night battle equipment (Star Shell and Type 98 Recon Seaplane (Night Scout)) is recommended and Sparkling your ships should be considered as well.
    • Usage of the Searchlight, however, is highly discouraged due to the drastic evasion reduction the equipping ship suffers in night battle.

      • CAVs can trigger Artillery Spotting as long as you have AS at boss, which can make taking out enemy escorts easier.

Node P Power Leveling

  • Post the November 16th Update, the Base EXP of Node P has increased drastically, where you are now capable of obtaining from 700 to 750 Base EXP (2,250 to 2,700 EXP at S-Rank Victory for Flagship MVP).
    • This method will allow you to level up pretty much any ships (except Aircraft Carriers), as long as you meet the following requirements:
      • No CV(L/B), BBV in Fleet
      • The Fleet must have at least 2 Destroyers
      • You are able to pass Node I with no Heavy Damaged Ships
        • During Event times, the Vanguard Formation will become available, where during such period, you are more recommended to use that formation instead.
  • Please be advised this method can consume a lot of Bucket Buckets in the long run due to the nature of Night Battle Nodes most likely going to cause some ships go into Medium/Heavy Damage from Enemy attacks.
    • You will most likely see more damage being done to your Fleet from the Ri-ClassHeavy Cruiser Ri-Class Flagship in Node I than Node P, which is mostly composed of Transport Ship Wa-ClassTransport Ship Wa-Class who are practically harmless (Flagship variants however can damage your ships with their Cut-in if unlucky).
  • You are also recommended to prepare at least 3 Different Fleets to Rotate, as the Morale of your Escort Ships will drop quite quickly.
  • Best way to utilize this method is to bring 1 Ship you wish to level up, and 5 Destroyers as Escorts.
    • You are highly recommended for at least one Ship to have a Star Shell Star ShellStar Shell 101 Card.
      • If you are leveling a CL/CA(V)/BB (Fast), you may wish to bring Night ReconType 98 Reconnaissance Seaplane (Night Recon) 102 Card as well.
    • DO NOT use a Searchlight Searchlight.
  • When Leveling CL/CA(V), you won't have too much trouble obtaining MVP from Both Nodes.
  • Once you clear the Enemies in Node P, retreat your fleet, then go back in, and repeat until you are satisfied.
