| Task | なるべく小編成の対潜哨戒部隊を編成し、鎮守府近海に出没する敵潜水艦を捜索。これを捕捉制圧、近海の安全な航行を実現せよ！ Form a squadron for anti-submarine patrol as small as possible, and search for enemy submarines near the naval base. Suppress them for safe navigation on the adjacent seas! |

| |
This is the first map with a boss HP bar requiring multiple completions. The map is filled with only submarines unless your fleet composition is wrong and you go off-course.
- You are required to sink the boss submarine 4 times to clear the map.
- Clearing this map is not required to unlock World 2, but required to unlock 3-2.
- Clearing this map rewards a Medal and 75 ranking points. At the start of each month, the boss HP bar will reset, allowing the rewards to be obtained again (if it doesn't reset, refresh the game).
- All Non-Boss Submarine-Only Nodes aside from the Boss Node J do not consume Ammo
.
- The same applies for any Submarine-Only nodes throughout the game.
- Beginners: Please be advised that you must use the Line Abreast (単横陣) formation as it is the most effective one against Enemy Submarines. (If you are unfamiliar with the Formations' Damage Multiplier and Roles, please read the Combat page.

Beginners[]

- 2 DD/CL + 1 BBV + 1 CVL
- Setup recommended for Beginners who have low quality Equipment and lacking OASW capable Ships. The BBV enables 2nd Shelling Phase and therefore will cover up to 8 attacks.

The following are only to be used if All Ships (or at least all the DD/CL) are capable of using OASW Attack.

Equipment Recommendations[]
If you are unfamiliar in Equipment Setups for your Ships, please visit and read Equipment Guide.
- DE/DD/CLs should have One (1) or Two (2) SONAR + One (1) Depth Charge Projector.
- If using a CVL, recommendation is Four (4) Torpedo Bombers as a start if you are a Beginner.
- Later on there are intermediate setups if using a CVL, with use of Type 3 Command Liaison Aircraft (ASW) and/or Ka Type Observation Autogyro Equipment and a more advanced method is the utilization of Zuihou Kai Ni B, who is capable of OASW Attack.

- If using a BBV, recommendation is the use of Four (4) Zuiun Seaplane Bombers as a Start if you are a Beginner.
- There is a more advanced method of using Ka Type Observation Autogyro on your BBVs, but once you gain 4 Ships capable of using OASW Attack later on, use of BBV will no longer be needed, so there is no need to pursue this option.
