Trivia

• Laid down on 21 October 1926, launched on 26 December '27 and commissioned on 26 July '28.
• Compared to some of her sisters she had a very quiet career, she was out of action for the first seven months of the Pacific war due to damage taken by a mine in China.
• She spent the remainder of her war in northern waters escorting convoys or patrolling, as such she saw no combat.
• Her luck ran out on the 5th July '44 when she was spotted and torpedoed by the USS Skate with heavy loss of life.
