    • The patch notes, as best I can figure from Google Translate are... interesting. And will make things interesting.

If I am grasping the jist of this stuff properly that is...

There's apparent talk about changing the UI with regards to developmet; not sure what it applies to exactly. There also seems to be a boost in what is purchaseable from Akashi; a little more bang for your buck as it were.

...and apparently the 20cm Rockets are upgradeable now?

Yamakaze appears to be a new limited(?) drop too. And to elaborate; it looks like we'll be able to upgrade an equipment three(?) times in a row with a single click as long as the cost is the same (I think). The items in Akashi's Shop are also adjusted and either give more resources or are slightly cheaper.

    • Yamakaze and Tsushima are both drops, and apparently they're "close areas" which probably means World 2 and 3 (because I highly doubt World 1 for anything tbh).

I saw the bit about upgrading, but that may be for development? Either way, it's conveniant.

I also noted that things seem to be changing with regard to what one purchases; the cost in DMM points appears to be the same, but what you actually get appears to have increased. (for example, getting fuel from the store would give you 250 fuel for 100 DMM points instead of 200). I'm not certain of why this has changed, but sadly, it doesn't help me much, as I tend to only buy screws from the store.

Also nice to see Mutsukis getting their own PvP quest. I hope this is a sign that there is a K2 for one of them on the horizon. Please let it be Mochizuki or Minazuki.

I imagine the Rocket DevMats will be used for one (or both) of the following:
      - Upgrade WG42
      - Upgrade T4 20cm Rockets
      - Upgrade Rocket Interceptors
      - Allow for the development of Rocket Interceptors (to allow the people that come in after this event to get them)

...and to be fair to the Mutskis, several of them already have their K2's. As a point of clarity, I wouldn't be sad to see more of them get their K2 by any means, because I know most of them have been in since the beginning and are generally forgotten/barely mentioned.

I would argue that you want to have more than that.

If you don't have 2-3 Type 89 Medium Tank & Landing Force, then you are going to want to use 2-3 Daihatsus to upgrade to those.

If you don't have 2-3 KaMi Amphibious Tanks, then you are going to want to use 1-2 Daihatsus to upgrade to those (there is one tank available via a quest-chain)

Both of these are important for anti-installation purposes.

For resource-gain, DevSquad74 is spot on, but Toku Daihatsu are better. Unfortunately, these can only be made through Akashi and cost 4 Daihatsu to convert from a +10 Daihatsu to a Toku Daihatsu.

So, for strong resource gain, you are going to want 4 Toku Daihatsu per fleet.

      Edit:
Just for number-crunching sake, you are going to want the following amounts of Daihatsu:
      - 3-5 Daihatsu to upgrade for the Anti-Installation gears (if you don't already have them)
      - 11 Daihatsu for your expedition fleet (12 if you do not have Kinu Kai Ni).

Then, for each Daihatsu you turn into a Toku Daihatsu, you will need to spend 4 more Daihatsu, which means that you are going to want to have total of 20 Daihatsu on-hand (or over time) per fleet (1 to upgrade + 4 to convert = 5 x 4 per fleet = 20), for a grand total of 60 Daihatsu (assuming you don't have Kinu K2).

...and then, assuming you think you're done, there is upgrading each Toku Daihatsu to +10, it costs a Daihatsu to upgrade each point pst +6, meaning that to reach +10, you will need to use another 4 Daihatsu.

...so yeah, if you are going down the rabbit hole of maximum resource gain per expedition, there is no such thing as 'too many Daihatsus', and every single one of these things is a more than welcome addition.

I was using 12 Daihatsu as a minimum without converting to Toku Daihatsu.  Having more than 12 Daihatsu would make it much easier especially if you want to convert to T89 Tankhatsu or Toku Daihatsu.  I definately agree converting and upgrading Toku Daihatsu is rather very expensive investment and more towards long term benefit.

Wow, thanks! That's a lot of work gathering all that information, I really appreciate it! A casual player like me with just one TankHatsu and one Ka-Mi could really need some more (even though I often send just two fleets to expedition). It depends on the other rewards of a quest, but rocket dev mats aren't that important (I got two from event) and T96 LB bombers are buildable. However, screws are always rare for me, so getting another anti-land-base boat will take some time.

      Not a problem!

Since you stated you already have 1 of each type, you will only need to build 1 more of each at the minimum. I say 'minimum' because every single tutorial, resource, veteran or other source of advice that I have seen since starting this game in May 2017 has indicated that to be 'event ready', one should have 2 KaMi tanks and 2 Daihatsu (the *HIGHLY* reccommend the T86, but a regular or Toku Daihatsu work well enough).

I'm not going to tell you that you need these things to get anywhere in the game, but I will tell you that they will make your life a LOT easier if you do.

This being said, the Screw costs to upgrade a Daihatsu to a T89 Tank & Landing force costs the following:
      - Daihatsu +1 -> +10: 14 Screws (minimum, assuming you don't do the 'auto-success')
      - Daihatsu +10 -> T89 Tank:7 Screws (you want to use the auto-success here, because if you fail, you lose that +10 Daihatsu)
      - T89 Tank +1 -> +10: 24 Screws (minimum, assuming you don't do the 'auto-success')
      - T89 Tank -> KaMi Tank: 9 Screws (you want to use the auto-success here, because if you fail, you lose that +10 T89 Tank and all that work up to this point!)
Total: 21 Screws minimum to get a T89 Tank  from a Daihatsu and 54 Screws to get a KaMi Tank from a Daihatsu

Yes, that seems like a lot, but don't discount the benifit from the daily upgrade, which reduses the upgrade cost by 1 screw. Also, take into account that this is also a long-term investment as well.

Since screws are an issue for you, I would look at trying to complete as many Weekly & Monthly quests that provide screws as possible. If you are cautious and frugal, you should have no problems in having enough screws to do 1 upgrade per day that costs 2-3 screws and doing the auto-complete won't break your bank.

I'm not agree with something you say. You say you want to use auto-success to transforme daihatsu to T89 and T89 to kami, you can use it, but you will NEVER lose your +10 daihatsu or T89 if you fail, you just fail other requirement like 12.7mmx3 (+screws) to transforme you daihatsu to T89 and 7.7 x3 (+screws) for T89 to kami. So false information to say you will lose your Daihatsu +10 or your T89 +10 if you fail.

I don't consider myself an expert (so any experts, please chime in!), but here is my counsel based on reading advice from others and my personal experiences with Summer 2019:
      - You want *at least* two Tanks (as of right now, only the KaMi Amphibious tank fills this role)
      - You want *at least* two Landing Crafts (Daihatsu, Toku Daihatsu, T89 & Landing Force, 11th Tank Regiment and M4A1 DD all fill this role)
      - You want 5-9 'Rockets' (WG42 and T4 20cm Rockets)
      - If you can upgrade the anti-installation equipment, you should do so.

Note: During the course of the Summer 2019 event, I found multiple instances where I wanted more rockets and I just didn't have them. As it stands, I own 5 WG42s and 3 T4 20cm Rockets. This is especially true when using girls like Nisshin and Teste as well as DDs with 2x gun + rocket all at the same time.

I would *almost* suggest you want 3 KaMi Tanks and 3 Landing Crafts, because I found myself kind of screwed during the event, as I could have used a fleet of subs to deal with the boss...if I had at least 3 KaMi tanks. Which, of course, I didn't have.

Is that so? Because when I first read the Akashi's Arsenal entry, it made it pretty clear that when making the change everything you had was pretty much under threat of being lost. That is, everything from +1-+10 was fine, you just lost the devmats and mod-food...but converting to a different piece of gear put everything was at risk.

That may have been how it was written at some point...but it's been well over a year since I looked at the Arsenal page, so if that part was clarified since then, that's a bit of a relief...though I'll admit that I'm far too paranoid to actually put it to the test myself.

    • The ship library also has an update, now the ship pages only are visible but a button on the side toggles between the ship pages and the equipment pages.  Edit:my life is a lie

Is that so? Because when I first read the Akashi's Arsenal entry, it made it pretty clear that when making the change everything you had was pretty much under threat of being lost. Yeah, failing an equipment conversion is the same as failing an equipment improvement (you only lose screws and resources and the equipment stays the same).

Well shit, now you know who doesn't visit the ship library.

And the updates page, for that matter.

U-chan will get her K2 in April 2023. Any sooner would be too soon and any later would be too late. Yayoi can get hers when she stops being angry, pyonnnn~

    • Alright, I completed any recurring pvp quest as well as daily/weekly/monthly quests, why is that Mutsuki-Class Pvp quest not showing up?

Maybe something's wrong with your cache settings? Media content (including crafted irems cgi) should load only once - first time they are needed. After that they should be retireved from cache pretty much instantly.

For me, with click-rushing through screens, triple developement works really fast. And I did a lot of crafting for extra drums needed for 20cm rocket launcher and mortars developement, so it come very handy.

I think s/he doesn't know that...you can now click through the development animation to skip it and immediately reveal the item.

You're right, it does work differently now. Maybe I just needed a refresh, or I didn't even try to click through them before. Finally some UI improvement

I think Tsushima drops in 1-4, and I can confirm that Yamakaze drops at 1-3.

    • Maybe I missed something, but does anyone else think it's odd that Warspite mention's Kure in conjunctiuon with 4 ships being built there, each, with the exception of Yamato, having a K2 (A in Nisshin's case) ?

      Possible Hotel K2 Incoming?

Ark refers to Kure too btw.

Tsushima definitely does, or did. I got three within a couple of days, however in the last few days nothing. Not sure if stopped or I just got real lucky early on lol.
