The New Equipment released from this Month's Ranking Rewards will be released from a New Ship Girl scheduled for release in the Early Fall 2018 Event.
In addition to the usual rewards, starting from KanColle Phase 2 onward, Two new type of rewards for players who did not make it to top 500 will be introduced:
Kiri-ban (キリ番): This is not easy to translate or find a suitable term in English, but basically it refers to numbers that have a (special) meaning. For example, 4649 can be read as "yoroshiku", 1234 for being consecutive numbers, 666 for being the devil's number.
Fleet name & Player Profile Comment: Devs will first randomly pick players, and from there, look through their fleet name and comments. Selection criteria are based on these 3 criterias: "wabi-sabi (侘寂) - a kind of Japanese aesthetics", "makes you feel warm inside/fluffyness", "having a mysterious appeal".
The above 2 groups of players will receive the same rewards as players in the top 500 bracket (101-500).
For this time round (July ranking rewards), the fleet name/comments are chosen from a certain point in this month.
From August ranking rewards and onward, the Fleet Name/comments will be chosen from the last day of their respective month.
During the later half of this week, the July Monthly Ranking Operation's Results will be displayed under the KanColle Game Screen on the "Information" section.
Also the Monthly Operation Top Ranking Admirals will receive a minor Monthly Ranking Reward in the same day.
※The Monthly Ranking Operation Reward will be a Pre-released Content related to a certain "New Ship Girl" scheduled for release during this "Early Autumn Event".
During the later half of this week of which the July Monthly Ranking Operation's results and the distribution of the Small Rewards, we will be implementing a new Ranking Class known as "Kiri-Ban"!
For Admirals who tried to reach for the Top Rankings but thought "I can't make it", please look forward to it!
After tonight, the Results of the July Ranking Operation will be displayed under 'Information' below the KanColle Game Screen.
We will also be distributing a Small Reward for the Monthly Top Ranking Admirals by order.
※ The Monthly Ranking Rewards will include the Pre-release of an Equipment related to a New Ship Girl scheduled to be released this "Early Autumn Event".
The July Monthly Ranking Operations' Result Information will be displayed under the Servers of which the players were stationed in at the time.
(The Ranking Reward will be given under the player's current server)
Also starting from Phase 2, aside from the Normal Rankings of Top 500,
Kiri-Ban Special Fleet
Fleet Name, Comment Selected Strike Force
will be available, where you will be able to receive the same Rewards as the 3rd Main Fleet.
The "Selected Fleet Name & Comment Strike Force" which is introduced along with the "Kiri-Ban Special Fleet" starting from Phase 2 will be based from Admirals who were unfortunately unable to reach the Top Rankings. and will be selected as a group randomly, based on the additional quota of their Fleet Name, or their Profile Comment showing "Quite Refined despite Minor", "has quite the pride", "Has a strange charm", of which they will be specially selected as each respective Servers' Strike Force!
The Profile Comments were selected from a certain time priorly this month.
During the currently running August Monthly Ranking Operation, we will be selecting from the Fleet Names & Profile Names during the Final Time Frame of the Monthly Ranking.
Also, the selection of the group for each respective servers will be selected in priority from the Admirals who were unfortunate to be unable to make into the Top Rankings by slight margin.
We thank you for your understanding.
At least, it's a nice addition for thoses who didn't made it into the T500... But GOOD LUCK to finish a month on a specific place. And even then, when you see that the Top 10 of Hashirajima is all over 10K and T500 is close to 4K...
Btw, what would be a proper translation for Ju87C改二(KMX搭載機)?
Ju87C Kai Ni (Equipped with KMX)
BTW this is the KMX: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/KMX
this is an airborne magnetic detector that could (theoretically) detect submarines.
Historically it was mounted on Tokai and Type 96 bombers.
She's likely to start out as AV and move to CL/CA. If it is Gotland (and all signs point to yes, the bofors, the planes and the sheep), she could only hold like 12 planes, but this might be our "Carrier though she is quite small" ship that was spoken about.

That's possible... and thinking about it, makes sense. She starts as an AV and one of her remodels she turns into a CL or CA with a high AACI setup as she was changed from a 'seaplane cruiser' to an AA cruiser.
Also, I would not necessarily take the number of planes she could carry as a given. I mean some ships that have aircraft slots end up carrying far more than they ever actually did (or could) when that's the only thing equipped.
Either way, it looks like we are getting a type of foreign ship that we have not gotten before (CL) or have not gotten in awhile (AV, CA(V), CV)...and this pleases me!
We haven't heard any Kai Ni news in awhile but it's possible looking at the Ju-87C KMX aircraft.
Stuka KMX is an ASW bomber, Graf is a Standard Carrier w/o ASW capability.
And KMX is a Japanese stuff. Shinyo (German liner-turned Japanese CVE) is more possible.
The 931s just got a synergy buff when mounted on "Taiyo-CLASS" CVEs (hinting that there will be more than Taiyo herself), so if anything, Shinyo (ex-SS Scharnhorst, later a Taiyo-class CVE) is a better possibility.

Someone from Rededdit mentioned about ex-SS Scharnhorst smoke stack color on Stuka KMX aircraft. It would makes sense Shinyo would fit the description of slightly smaller carrier dev mentioned previously.
damn, the Sweds missed a perfect chance for word play with using a goat instead of a sheep. thanks for that Charng, must have missed it on the wiki page.
The Swedish word for "goat", according to Google Translate, is either:
get, bock or stenbocken.
sadly none of these rhymes (?) with Gotland.
Feel free to call her Goatland though. I think it's gonna be fun.
HMS Gotland is a cruiser, not light or heavy. If i had to point my finger what it would be in this game, i would just go with CL. Swedish navy did not really use CL/CA terms compared to USN or other big navies out there.

It could have been a clue about Bob being the next artist to draw a different nation in the game, but instead he's gonna draw a Japanese Seaplane Tender (Nisshin, apparently) for later Event. Swedish girl will get Drew as the illustrator.
Interestingly, Germans worked on their own improved version of Ju87C with better engine and capable of carrying torpedoes, but with final cancellation of Graf and Seydlitz conversion there was no point continuing.
Tashkent and Jervis both didn't take long for me to farm. Iowa on the other hand took forever to drop.
Jervis came to me when I was clearing, while Iowa (a dupe, in addition to my original Spring 2016 one) only took 7 runs to get OMEGALUL. On the other hand, regarding Tashkent, I was far too traumatized by E6 to even try and return for her.
Just a reminder that somehow I have to give both in Chinese and English:
邂逅 does NOT mean drop.
Chrome translate is using 'It is also possible to encounter' though, which could indeed be a hint towards a drop.
I would also point out that according to DU and a few others, the Devs have used that exact same verbiage to indicate that a particular ship is a drop in pretty much every past instance where a ship was, in fact a drop (as opposed to a reward for clearing).
The event is going to be reverse Bisko hunting. I mean it'll be themed after the Bisko hunt, but we'll be on the Bismarck side, with abyssal RN after our asses.
What about European Hime in Summer 17 ? Sure it wasn't Bismarck focus, but strangely it followed some historical facts from that time too : Prinz drop only on the node she was suppose to rally after she separated from Bismarck.

Tashkent was first try, and some peoples I know wanted me dead for being so lucky with the Russian DD since I heard It took 100+ tries for some people to drop...
Let's say the Event will have 2 EOs
I think it will goes like that
Main Operation (E3) : New Ship Reward
Final Operation (E5) : British BB Reward
E4 : Swedish girl Drop
E2 : New Ship (DD or DE) drop, another New Ship as Reward ?
Well, the Devs noted already that the MO was going to be 3 maps, but they have said nothing about the EOs...but I suspect that we will have 2 of those, for a total of 5 maps...fitting the 'Largish-Medium' that they hinted at earlier.
Obviously the final operation is going to be the British BB
Gotland is going to be an EO drop (the Devs pretty much stated as much), though whether or not she remains to one map like Tashkent or not is a question.
Shinyou is going to be the MO reward, if I am understanding the Google Translated DevTweet correctly.
This leaves two new ships unaccounted for (the Devs noted that we are getting 5 new ships). My guess is that one of these will be a Fletcher-class DD if only because it was stated months ago that we were going to get at least one Fletcher in Summer, and biven that this event was supposed to be in Summer it's a readonable to think at least one of these would be a Fletcher.
