  • This is the general discussion area for Winter 2017 Event/E-2.

    What you may discuss here

    • Equipment loadout
    • Ship arrangement
    • LBAS loadout
    • Support expedition loadout
    • Farming and clearing strategies
    • Game mechanics (both old and new) and boss gauge HQ scaling report (which is also a mechanics).
    • Branching rules. If you wish to propose a branching rule, here's a read-only composition report data spreadsheet you can use to check the validity of your proposal yourself.
    • Test composition request.

What you may NOT discuss here

    • Fleet composition to achieve a certain branching. Report those to the Google Form instead. You may request a frontliner to test a composition in this thread. The frontliner may then report the result in both this thread and Google Form without penalties.
    • Drops: where they drop and at which rank that they drop. Those information are already available on Poi Statistics and various other automated databases.
    • Enemy patterns report. Again, they're available on Poi Statistics (a.k.a. Poi Database or Poi DB). While you may not report enemy patterns here, you may discuss how to beat these patterns and/or warn others of hard patterns.
    • Salty and bragging posts. Do that in the comment section of the event article instead.
    • Anything not related to E-2 map. Any suggestions or concerns to our wiki staff can go to Suggestion. Everything else can go to our live chat.

Good luck and fair seas, Admirals!

    • It looks like running 5 or more CVs and FBB/BBs will route you from G to F. (So having 3 CVs and 2 FBBs will take you to F, but having 2 CVs and 2 FBBs won't.) This is including the Escort fleet. CVLs don't look like they affect this.

      Not so sure man , I'm running 2CV , 2 CVL , 1 CAV 1 FBB in Main and 1 CL , 1 FBB , 2 CA , 2DD in escort and I got directed up

Maybe no more than 5 CVLs, BBs and CVs with a max of 4 BBs and CVs? There does seem to be some off branching where having more than 4 BBs and CVs will route you up. There could have been another rule that routed you up, but I'm pretty sure that there is a cap on BBs and CVs

    • from wikiwiki:

      空母棲姫および駆逐古姫に対しては陸攻特効有り。直撃すれば中大破、運がよければ撃沈する。

"LBAS bombers deal bonus damage against Aircraft Carrier Hime and Ancient Destroyer Hime. A direct hit will deal medium to heavy damage, if your luck is good it'll sink them."

    • I decided to put my LD fleet for E-2 Normal. I hope this helps someone in E-2.

By the way, I used the sample fleet in the E-2 tab to chip down the gauge. I tried to duplicate it to my capabilities.

    • Is it possible to farm E-2 with TP team on easy for easy routing? Or should I just go full CTF team from the get go?

    • Some notes on the current tips in the E2 article.

The way the TCF south routes are currently listed, it implies that those would be fix routings (A-D-G-J-K-M, A-D-E-H-K-M), but there is a chance to get off-routed, e.g.  A-D-G-I-… There is a potential reason for that routing given in the branching rules ("FDF activated"), but at least to me this is rather "obscure", and if FDF triggers on chuuha ships, then the likelihood of this routing seems rather high. I posted an example of a fast TCF that got off-routed with a chuuha ship: http://kancolle.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Winter_2017_Event/@comment-217.10.52.10-20170215082320

There is little to no mention of LBAS and support fleets in the E2 article. E.g. a general improvement might be to always add the LBAS range to each node in the enemy node composition table. In the article the number of available airfields and possible LBAS attacks could be added, and what kind of LBAS may make sense on which nodes (will depend on the used fleet types, I guess).

Similarly for node and/or boss shelling support, available at all, optional or mandatory, on which nodes?

    • I have now a series of replays, showing that above mentioned routing (A-D-G-J-K-M, A-D-G-I-J-K-M) seems to depend on the node support fleet composition. Here is a series of four replays: http://imgur.com/a/J3nvl

      Main fleet: BBV-BBV-DD-DD-DD-DD

      Escort fleet: CL-CA-CA-DD-DD-DD

Running the fleet 3 Node Support with BB-BB-CVL-CVL-DD-DD (2nd & 3rd replay) will route A-D-G-I-J-K-M, even if all ships are still green health (3rd).

Running the fleet 3 Node Support with BB-BB-CA-CA-DD-DD (1st and 4th replay) will route A-D-G-J-K-M.
