Hi. I dont know if you have seen my reply to your message or not, just wanted to warn you - Umikaze doesnt drop at boss node, just at Q (according to poi database, this wiki still says "???" about it). Dont waste your resources for nothing) good luck
I'm pretty sure you cannot switch servers once you start or else people would be all jumping to older servers with less players to have an easier time ranking for rewards. There have been times in the past for server transfers however.
nowadays, it's not much of an issue now... unless you do 1-5 which had oscar in it. But by then, you should have at least one ship (usually a CL) who can do OASW at that point (which happens to be Isuzu K2). Since difficulty selection has been introduced, it's not really scary anymore if you happen to inflate your HQ levels. However... if it was Pre-Winter 2015 event, you are truly screwed.
Anyways, just remember to level your CAs and CVLs too since you can pretty much level your BBs and CVs on it's own.
I started around May (Sadly missing to get Gangut :( ). I only go to 1-5 to get the medal and ignore it afterwards.
I guess I'll start training my CAs (Mainly Maya, Choukai, Kako, and Furutaka) and sadly my only CVLs are Houshou and Hiyou. I'm about lvl 58 (will get to 60+ by the event) and I'm busy stockpiling resources and buckets (280+) since it's advised to start hardcapping.
Lastly, I'm poor as hell so I need to control my ship girl slots xP
it's okay to stay at soft cap since you won't need much resources unless you do frontlining. Anyways, the bucket count is always important.
the ships that needed BP are not much of a necessity unless you needed them under certain conditions. (but I will leave that to your discretion since this is where I should test on how well you manage your limited resources)
Just take it easy and level until there is no tomorrow. just remember to never stop collecting buckets.
Do you have any Kai Ni'd ships? For me my BP K2s are Abukuma and Zuikaku, planning to K2 Shoukaku next once I get another prototype flight deck. And yeah, its hard to have backup ships for events if we don't buy more ship slots.
How many ship slots do you have? Any advice for fleet setups? I would be delighted to know more.
So far my only Kai nis are Kongou, Yuudachi and Jintsuu (Sendai is almost there). I'm aiming for Fubuki, Shigure, Maya, Furutaka, and Souryuu next. I got Yamato about a couple of weeks ago and dem she drains my ammo fast though I still Kai'd her and my strongest BB so far.
If I'd only knew, I should've Kai Ni'd my DDs earlier because they are important in events and a lot of quests involved them. For CVs, Hiryuu Shoukaku and Zuikaku are important candidates for Kai Ni. If you get Abukuma, you'd better Kai Ni her as soon as possible. For LSC, I have obtained Taihou and I-401. What recipe did you use for Yamato?
@Ghost: My ship slots are at around 210 so I think it's quite too many for someone already.
What fleet setups? I would always prefer to have them all especially if you are planning to go all hard in the future. (which by the way I don't plan to) of course if you are limited in slot sizes, you would need to get the best ships for the job and get some 2nd tiers for the early maps.
That was my first Yamato recipe and so I got her on the first try. My LSC luck turned from Yukikaze to Taihou that night. It was worth draining my LSC luck since Yamato class has the highest FP and armor, highest HP, and Yamato herself has good AA for a BB. Also, range is V. long.
Oh, for I-401 I tried 4000/6000/6000/3000/100 FS: I-8. Took me 3 tries and got Shioi on the 4th. Killed my resources though. I'll try crafting Yamato using your recipe and FS sometime when my resources recover.
I'm readying to go full sparta (even though I'm just on Eazy modo because I only have 50k resources). I'll get my chance at Fall or Winter event. Hopefully the event would be nice enough to give me some nice event only ships before my sanity would run out.
