  • In the past half year or so there's been mounting data from a few members of the Japanese Kancolle community which suggests level plays an important role in cutin rate, and by extension that neglection of level in previous equations may have led to errors in the current model we use.  I'm wondering if there have been any sort of similar investigations on the Chinese side of things that would have some unique data or ideas to shed more light onto this topic.  Would you like to look into it?

    • They quoted those Japanese investigation and agree on that. I think I might have seen someone else independently conducted a similar test and confirmed the conclusion in a certain post a few months ago but I can't recall where did I saw that and nothing quantitative there.

      Some of them point out that many of the current analysis about cutin rate did not consider level, especially for those related to luck cap. Thus any analysis done on the topic in or before 2015 should not be rely on.

  • I tested out the claim and came to conclusion that Daihatsu89 and Ka mi does have effect on TP bar (although I didn't check how much). So first, I would like to apologize for my rash judgement.

    However, I do need the source for your claim. Yes, it did say JP, but I do want the specific place that the claim was test (if it's from wikiwiki, please link to that spot).

  • I'm establishing a Discord channel for us event staffers who will be primarily involved with editing the wikia during the event. We also have Skype as a backup channel, should some be unable to use Discord.

    I believe this would be helpful to you during the event, since we can avoid things like double-editing etc.

  • I am aware of some of your edit such as world 3, i am not picking side and say who is right or wrong, but imo that list is too long already and comes with lots of strange setup, we only need to keep useful or important information in the pages, especially guides, try to make it short and don't put unimportant info there.

  • Hi,

    I finally got around to reading a bit more on the Combat page as you have requested. As well I have tried to do a bit of modification to page:

    • one was with the aesthetics within the table of formations in a bid to try and minimise the over size of the table. The end result for that turned out horrible.
    • the other was just adding a few notes about the minimum size of the fleet required - one for line ahead and the other for diamond.

    Other than that some of the smaller sections that doesn't have too many subsections within it could be "tabber"ified personally. At least it may prevent scrolling. Though first for now, some of those Expand button areas towards the bottom the of page for those small subsections, you could just throw them into tabber and within the tabber have it expanded by default.

      Some of those currently collapsed area were tabbed a few months ago but I think that reduce their visibility by too much and thus changed them to the current look.

    • Ah I see, yeah if using tabber it would also break the elements from within the table of contents section - making it virtually a link that does not work. Other than that it works more or less on the same basis that the user has to click to view the contents regardless if it's collapsible or tabber style imo.

Don't know about modifications though, if you want to change something, then maybe it's better to provide a new translation instead of changing while still citing them.

  • I notice the English combat pages haven't update the new formula of damage calculate.
    The old formula is
    { Damage = Basic Attack Power x Pre-Cap Modifiers x Post-Cap Modifiers - Enemy Armor x Random Number (between 2/3 ~ 4/3) x Remaining Ammo Modifier }

    And the new damage calculate formula is
    { Damage = [ [ Pre-Cap Attack Power × Pre-Cap Modifiers + "CA's Fit Gun Modifer" ] × Critical Hit Modifer ] × Post-Cap Modifiers - Defense Power ) × Remaining Ammo Modifier }

    The Pre-Cap Attack Power formula is
    { Basic Attack Power + Night Contact Modifer(+5) + WG42 Modifer (+75) }

    The CA's Fit gun Modifer formula is
    { √(Number of the naval gun) + 2 × √(Number of the twin gun amount) }

    The Defense Power formula is
    { Armor × 0.7 + Random Number [ 0 ~ (Armor-1) ] × 0.6 }

    And the Carrier shelling phase Basic Attack Power formula is not lastest either.
    Old formula is
    (Firepower + Torpedo) × 1.5 + Dive Bomb × 2 + 55
    New formula is
    [ Firepower + Torpedo + [ Dive Bomb× 1.3 ] × 1.5 ] + 55

    Maybe you can check it again on wikiwiki or my account's sandbox3.

      1. Those "CA Formulas" are actually CL's.
      2. From what I know, WG42 bonus are added after other precap.
      3. The second ] in the new carrier shelling attack formula should be located before the "* 1.5" term.
      4. I want to re-male the whole combat page but I don't have any time.

      I only saw the detail say WG42 have bonus but not use in AP modifer.

      ダメージ = [ (最終攻撃力 - 防御力) × 弾薬量補正]

      最終攻撃力 = [ [ キャップ前攻撃力 × キャップ前補正 + 軽巡軽量砲定数] × クリティカル補正 ] × キャップ後補正

      キャップ前攻撃力 = 基本攻撃力 + 夜間触接定数(+5) + WG42対地特効(+75)

      So WG42 bonus have to add before the pre-cap modifer?
      Maybe you can ask someone know the full combat system to re-make the combat page.
      I know the combat page haven't usually update after the first time you finish it.
      Combat have too many new system and new formula :P

    • See #921 of http://jbbs.shitaraba.net/bbs/lite/read.cgi/netgame/13745/1400461230/917-922 whoch stated that we have Type 3 Shell bonus added before WG42 Bonus. And from what I learn, Type 3 Shell is one of those pre-cap modifiers. well, the link haven't mention is it before or after other precap modifiers but at least it should be added after Type 3 Shell's.
