However, that's not the case in this game. Reading the library lines and reading the class associated with each ship at the top of the library info clearly shows that both ships belong in Shouhou class.
Ok then, but if we use what the games says, something like Akitsumaru being other than a Amphibious Assault (or even to be called "Akitsu Maru") it's contradictory. We must use or wikipedia or the game's library, no both. Not like I care that much, I just edit as entertainment.
PD: About the name, japanese doesn't have spaces, and it is difficult to manage a ship name with spaces in general.
And that's very fine with me. It's like Hiyou-class, wkipedia says they are CVs, not CVLs.
Probably the game says it's "Akitsumaru-class", but it's not that important. Something like changing ship classification (like it has been discussed), or her name, though, changes a bit how one searches her through the wikia, so it's a bit annoying.
And changing the subject: what do you think about adding consumption for resupply and/or repair in the templates of the ships? So you can easily check it and compare between normal/kai/whatever forms.
To change the template it's probably easy and it does all the template of all the girls at the same time. Their stats can be gradually filled without haste.
The story behind it is that Tsurugizaki(Shouhou) and Takasaki(Zuihou) were laid first as submarine tenders. Tsurugizaki was finished and commissioned first as a submarine tender. And just after Takasaki was launched, she undergone the convertion to an aircraft carrier and later renamed Zuihou. Tsurugizaki followed and later renamed Shouhou. Zuihou was first finished as an aircraft carrier so American sources classified her as the namesake ship of the class.
