My first sunken ship was Tatsuta (lvl 3) due to my stupidity making her attack heavily damaged at a boss node in world 1-4. P.S. I didn't defeat the boss.

Mochizuki(lv2), Winter 2018 Event, I want sparking fast and without reach the ship limit(95)
Mikuma, during clearing 2-5, I was playing on a phone without paying attention, but she is lucky and survived attacks
I'd really like to know the background to that starter ship joke...
Apparently yes.

Huh, I didn't know...
Rip Bucky :(
From when I started until now I have lost 3 kanmusu in total...
-
1. Miyuki
She was my first casualty, at the time of her lost I was still a newbie Teitoku who had yet to properly undertand the game mechnanics and I unknowingly sent her to her death. It stung to lose her and i'll never forget that she was my first casualty.

2. Chiyoda (Duplicate - I already had Chiyoda as a CVL at the time and still do to this day.)
I was farming 1-5 for submarine kanmusu a lot at the time and because I wasn't paying attention to the batte screen I didn't notice that Chiyoda had taken heavy damage. I reached the boss node, started the battle and realized to my horror that Chiyoda was heavly damaged and by then it was already to late to do anything about it... the abysal subs sank her with their opening torpedoes.
Despite this Chiyoda being at duplicate I still felt genuinely shocked/guiltly as I watched her sink. It was the first time I felt like a Kuso Teitoku... I apologised to CVL Chiyoda that was still with me.

3. Mogami
I lost her during the Early Fall 2018 Event (My First Ever Event)
I was on the final part of the E-3 to try and get Shinyou and had reduced to the German Escort Princesses HP bar to 0, all I had to do was defeated her one more time and I would have beat the main part of the event, however the event was drawing to a close that very day and I was was out of buckets and low on resources, things were pretty dire.
I sent the best kanmusu I had avalable to me at the time to try and land the finishing blow and secure a final victory before the event ended, on the last node before the boss Mogami ended up taking a nasty hit from a ru-class battleship, I beat the node and then I had to make a difficult choice.
I knew it what the risks were if I went ahead with the boss node but I knew I wouldn't get another shot at beating this boss before the event ended... so I took a gamble/chance and attacked the boss. I gambled and lost...
Not only did the attempt end in failure I ended up losing Mogami as a result of it... she was one of my highest leveled kanmusu at the time. In the end I wasn't able to get Shinyou so Mogami ended up dying for nothing, I cursed myself, the abysal fleet and RNG for the aftermath of the event.

These 3 kanmusu are my only losses so far... and they are 3 losses to many... I have never lost another kanmusu since and I hope to never lose another again.

I did exactly the same during the Winter 2018 Event. Not only I risked Kitakami to be sunk at E-3 (for reasons I can't remember, it was my second battle/third try there).
At E-4, after seven fights and additional nine unsuccesful tries to get to the boss, I rushed to the boss with Haruna heavily damaged. After all those fights, missing the destruction of the boss for few HP with its HP bar depleted, my patience was at the end. I thought for over five minutes if it would be right to risk Haruna's sinking for getting my first event reward, Gambier Bay. At the end, I tried it. I gambled too, but luckily, I won the life of Haruna. She didn't recieved any damage at the boss node. The boss however survived again with 14/650 HP.
The only other ship I risked to sink (and the last) was Wakaba while clearing B46. She, Hatsushimo and Samidare were just lvl. 17, and back then in KC phase 1, world 3-2 had an elite Ru- and Ri-class at the pre-boss node. With just Wakaba with heavy damage, I though. "I probably will hate myself if I sink her, but she isn't that rare or important for my fleet and her equipment is just the German 12,7cm gun which also is that rare." Luckily again, my fleet was able to get the necessary B-rank at the boss without Wakaba getting any damage. B-46 was cleared, and I could go on for the Ka-Mi tank. (After that, I thought I will never go to the 3-2 boss again, but phase 2 changed it. Phew.)
Thanks god, I was lucky all the time, and since then, never did something like this again. The fear to sink on of my ships is horrible, and I won't let it come to that.
Jimtsuu... it was in 2014. I didn't saw she was taihaed. I advanced and the I noticed she did something different. Once the battle was over I realized... that "something different" was she sinking. On the same week I also lost a Shigure on the same way. After passing 2 times on the same week for all the stages of grief I swore my self to never let another of my girls to sink.
Fubuki kai ni (starter ship and only one I lost). I was farming a map during an event and I didn't notice she got taihaed at the pre-boss node and she was sunk by gunfire from a DD at the boss during the second shelling phase (I have to say I was kinda lucky I lost her since if I could have chosen which ship to lose in that fleet it would have been her, though).
^ I just remembered I had already posted this some year ago. Sorry for the dupe.
