only Kirishima, Taihou, Soryuu, Zuikaku and the rest Unryuu-class CVs are exceptions (6 in total). They don't have any in-game dates related to their respective historical dates, NOT YET (Since Taihou, Zuikaku and Unryuu-class haven't received K2 yet).

wouldn't the devs using a historical date be a minority rather then a majority in terms of reason for Kai Ni? although 25th of september would be in 2 weeks from friday, so not that strange. if they wait for 23rd october, then there is no way that Shoukaku class is the next Kai Ni though.

Minority? Not really. Most IJN capital ships so far were either introduced or K2ed on or near historical dates.

Hiryuu (Midway/final operation, K2), Yamato and Musashi (Respective date launched, introduction), Haruna (Date sunk, K2), Kongou (Date sunk within range of event, K2ed on start of the event to make available working time for Hiei),  Hiei (one day before date launched, K2), Fusou (date of starting final operation/one day before date sunk, K2), Yamashiro (Date laid down, K2), Unryuu (2 days after date completed, introduction), Shoukaku (date sunk, available for construction), 10 in total.

only Kirishima, Taihou, Soryuu, Zuikaku and the rest Unryuu-class CVs are exceptions (6 in total). They don't have any in-game dates related to their respective historical dates, NOT YET (Since Taihou, Zuikaku and Unryuu-class haven't received K2 yet).
