<p>You need to take 12.7cm Model D Kai 2 into account, because making that one costs more than a single blueprint.
</p><p>Although remodeling Asashimo to Kai Ni IS expensive due to that bullshit devmats cost.

</p><p>The improvement of M34 increases its damage and +AA. +AA is good, but honestly unless you min-maxing your airfield to the extreme degree or lack bullshit land-based fighters like Hayabusa (64th), you don't really need one. Increased damage is good, but airstrike is still too random, enemy AA defense is a thing, and it's base power is only 1 torpedo point higher than the vanilla Type 1 LB Attacker.
</p><p>(disclaimer: although there ARE benefits in having LB Attackers with higher +AA. I'm one of those who like min-maxing my airfield whenever possible).
</p><p>14cm Twin Kai is....your love for Nisshin must transcend even the boundaries of the world to justify picking this.

</p><p>Most of the trouble in 1-5 comes from being high HQ but lacking ships with preemptive anti-sub attacks, as well as bullshit torpedo accuracy. Isuzu and Naka Kai Ni can significantly reduce the burden. Naka needs Lv. 60 as well as 3x Type 3 Active Sonars, but its well worth it.
</p><p>2-5 and 3-5 demands a lot more. And not cheap on buckets either. You can alleviate this with sortieing there once or twice a day, then spend the rest of the day for repairing.

<p>I got a crazy idea that Tanaka will never do.
</p><p>- Allows mortars and AG rockets to be used as main gun substitute against installations and only installations.
</p><p>- This means they'll need two of mortars/AG rockets to deal nighttime double-tap with increased damage bonus vs. installation only. Bonus depends on the mortar/AG rockets equipment setup (separate from existing anti-installation bonus).
</p><p>- Normal gun + mortar/AG rocket is also a fair game, less damage bonus ofc.
